Terms of Service
These terms ("Terms") govern your use of this pre-launch Nest website and the waitlist signup feature (the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. About Nest
Nest is a forthcoming app that matches verified people for co-living ("Home" mode) and travel ("Trips" mode). The Site is currently informational and lets you join a waitlist for the launch in your city. The app itself is not yet available.
2. The operator
The Site is operated by [FILL IN: founder name(s)], based in Hamar, Norway. Nest is currently a pre-incorporation project; an organisation number will be added here once a legal entity is formally registered.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Nest when it launches. You may join the waitlist only if you are at least 18.
4. Waitlist — what we promise (and what we don't)
- By submitting your email, you ask us to contact you when Nest launches in your selected city.
- We will use your email only for launch-related communication (and any other purpose you have specifically consented to). See our Privacy Policy.
- We do not guarantee a launch date, a specific city order, that any city will reach its profile threshold, or that you will be granted access ahead of others.
- We may close the waitlist, change the launch criteria, or change the order of cities at any time.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit someone else's email address without their permission.
- Submit fake, automated, or abusive signups, or attempt to bypass our rate limits.
- Scrape, copy, or republish any part of the Site without written permission.
- Use the Site in any way that violates Norwegian or applicable law.
6. Intellectual property
The Nest name, logo, design, copy, and code on this Site are owned by the project's [FILL IN: founder name(s)] (and will be assigned to the legal entity once registered). They are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use them without permission, except as permitted by law (e.g. fair quotation for commentary or news reporting).
7. Third-party links and services
The Site may link to third-party services (e.g. App Store, Google Play, Datatilsynet). We are not responsible for the content or practices of those services; their own terms and privacy policies apply when you visit them.
8. Disclaimers
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure against all attacks, or compatible with every device or browser. Any pre-launch information about Nest's features, launch dates, or city order is indicative only and may change.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Norwegian law, the operator's total liability arising out of your use of the Site is limited to direct damages, and excluded for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages (including lost profits, lost data, or lost opportunity). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as for gross negligence, intent, or personal injury.
10. Changes to the Site or these Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. We may also update these Terms; the "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Site and request deletion of your waitlist record at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may also remove waitlist entries that appear to violate these Terms.
12. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably shall be brought before the ordinary courts of Norway, with Østre Innlandet tingrett, rettssted Hamar as the agreed venue, unless mandatory consumer-protection rules give you a different right.
